Reversing The Sandglass

The Movement Intelligence
of Safe Two-Phase Exploration to Recharge Memory and Health
Introductory 10-Hour Program

Could it be that one of the factors associated with memory loss is gravity-related?

When was the last time you inclined your head lower than your heart?
What happens to our brain cells when, under the effect of gravity,
the downward traffic emptying stale blood from the head
proceeds at a faster pace than the traffic flowing fresh nourishing blood back up to the head?
What happens to a person whose diminished movement lacks dynamic impacts that could empower circulation
in pumping his blood upward against gravity, and might even overcome some of the Blood Brain Barrier?
What happens to chronically impoverished cells that suffer malnutrition?

I hope someone becomes intrigued enough by these questions to investigate how the absolute context of gravity,
with respect to our bodily management, relates to brain chemistry — a dilemma deserving proper attention
and clinical research.

My Reverse the Sandglass program attempts to provide a movement-based solution
to one of the most humiliating disease of our times — the loss of memory and human identity.
The first phase, a 5-hour preface, provides careful and gradual guidance in safe procedures
that reintroduce a minimal lowering of the head back into personal movement vocabulary.
The advanced second phase is meant for fully fit people who wish to build up a prophylactic
reserve to protect them from future drying out of their brain cells.
They learn to turn completely over, the sandglass way — pelvis up, head down —
not without our same password: Safety First.

Posture

There is No Pill for Posture
The Movement Intelligence of Upright Posture
and Empowered Stability

Re-Designing Alignment by Self-Touch of Hand

The winning Combination of the Integrative Approach

One of the strategies used in the Posture program is to show people they can use their own hands in order for their organism to arrive at a new postural option,  which their body is not likely to create without the indication of the hand touch. The hand can easily help in introducing a mechanical change in re-organizing of a certain part, enabling to hold the new change while performing actual total body movement in the new coordination.

Like one hand is gently holding the chin closer to the throat, with the pinky might be touching  the collar bone and the wrist touching the chest, which aligns   the head in more streamlined continuity with the spine, and the neck become straighter, while at the same time performing walking in place. This combination of suggesting  a local change in the structural context of the neck, while synchronized it with total body activity of symbolic walking pattern, which is inherently programmed for efficient coordination, is allowing all other parts of the body to adjust and support the specific change in the neck’s alignment and the disposition of the head,  giving it the validation to be harmoniously integrated by the entire organism for use. The invitation of all parts of the body, as involved in the basic function of walking, to actively adjust to the corrected neck, guarantees that every part of the body will go through re-learning how to adapt its habitual behavior to the newly introduced change.

Respecting this “Family Therapy” principle for creating an acceptable improvement, is in distinct from an artificially imposed isolated, local correction in static position.
After such a process of a few Min. people may verify the feeling of spontaneously  standing in a more satisfying posture.

Creating a better position is not enough. For your organism to choose to use it in life it needs to be convinced that the new pattern can be easily and safely used in reality of  movement.

The  combinatory approach of suggesting  a local change in an isolated part of the body, while synchronizing it with total body activity of walking in place,  is allowing all other parts of the body to adjust and support the specific change and giving it the validation to be harmoniously accepted by the total organism for use.
Respecting this “Family Therapy” principle of inviting all members to reprogram their behavior, rather than expecting just the suffering victim to do what it cannot do, has the chance to create an acceptable improvement. The change which is originated through cooperation is in distinct from an artificially imposed isolated, local correction in static position.

After a few min of such a process of the winning combination of both local change within  global adjustment  people may verify the transformed feeling of spontaneously  standing in a more satisfying posture.

The organic improvement feels surprising and is coming from inside on its own, from the sensational domain of your organism, the core of your existence, bypassing your cognitive calculation, as the result of experiencing  new options, provided in a way it could engage your innate non-verbal Movement intelligence to somatically learn and change its policy of self management.

6 Lessons

The 6 Movement Intelligence Lessons
for
 Dynamic Strength & Streamlined Posture

Filmed by Israeli TV, 2010
at Ruthy’s home in Jerusalem

1. The Wrap — a Loan of Upright Posture

Step-by-step instruction in using the Wrap to secure a streamlined, vertical posture that can withstand gravitational force with added pressure  — loads that puts greater-than-usual demands on the skeletal axis. With use of the Wrap even people who are less than optimally organized, can safely meet the impacts of dynamic, bone-building activities such as lively walking, running, and even jumping.

2. Free Your Neck

A simple self-help process to restore easy mobility in the neck through redistribution proportional labor of flexibility between neck and trunk, emphasizing the involvement of the upper back. Instead of demanding from your vulnerable neck to do what it cannot, you recover its lost flexibility by articulating stiffly fixed areas of your torso, to reestablish overall harmony as in Family Therapy.

3. Spontaneous Upright Sitting

Transform the chair — from a device that traps you into being lazy and irresponsible — into a tool that helps you discover a functional and effortless way to counter gravity while seated.

4. Put a Spring in your Step

Free your knee from difficulty by supporting it with the primal flexibility of its integrative partner, the ankle, using a natural pattern derived from quadruped mobilization.

5. Reversed Running

By using a common table, or the back of a chair, to free yourself from balance concerns, you can easily evoke your body’s spontaneous uprightness in just a few minutes.

6. Bouncing on the Heels

Rhythmic pulsations stimulate blood flow, build bone strength, and — with less investment of effort than in walking — recruit your entire body in dynamic, anti-gravity activity that uplifts both your posture and your spirits, affirming your upright axis as it rekindles  your Biological Optimism.
